Feb. 27, 2024, 4:40 p.m. - As we cruise through the suburbs of København, we all want to say a massive thank you to all those who have expressed such great generosity. We have a huge amount of satisfaction arriving into København in daylight, after just 57 hours on the road, we think we are the first team of 3 to arrive 🏁🤞. It has been a privilege to meet such lovely people along the way. We apologize to those on the train with us, it is definitely time for some showers! Thank you to our fans :)

Feb. 27, 2024, 2:54 p.m. - still taken aback by the generosity of the Holdorf McDonald's team who set in motion a 'train' of Poy Poy (good luck!). After learning some German and a failed emotional appeal in the ticket office, we decided to try our luck one more time. Luckily our indecision on the train platform payed off as we saw the train conductor and asked again if he would let us on with no ticket. Put your hands together for Hans who let us on until his shift change at the border 🙏. In Denmark we asked the head conductor if we were able to stay on and she said YES!! Feb. 27, 2024, 7:20 a.m. - Team 25 VEC LH 977 - The McDonald's staff were genuinely some of the nicest people we have ever met! They brought us coffees this morning and then said that they wanted to help us out by buying us a regional train ticket. On top of that, they offered to give us a lift to the train station in town so that we could catch the earlier train and save us a long walk. George was the one who paid for our ticket and said that he wanted to do so in honor of his lovely daughter Irena who is currently battling an illness. We are on the train to Bremen and then on to Hamburg!! So grateful to everyone at McDonald's Holdorf and are excited to catch a bit of sleep on the warm train! 🍟☕️🥤🚂

Feb. 27, 2024, 1:39 a.m. - No cars at the last service station past 1am so we decided to chance our luck with walking 2 hours to the next station. Walked along an abandoned German highway through a forest, over fields, across rivers. Aided by a nip of some Irish love. Questioned life, faced our biggest fears, overall a formative life experience. Made it to a glorious McDonalds - excited for food and crossing everything for a ride north!!

Feb. 26, 2024, 9:41 p.m. - Martin was extremely kind and took us to the shell on A1, wishing his son good luck in his next bike tour and all the best for his daughters career teaching theatre!
Feb. 26, 2024, 8:46 p.m. - German maccies are our promised land tonight! We have hitched a ride a bit east and a bit north to the A1. Some road closures caused us a bit of trouble but they were no match for martin in his Volvo!
Feb. 26, 2024, 8:29 p.m. - Our luck with German maccies continued! 180 km/hour in a very swanky brand new Mercedes down the autobahn to the next service station!
Feb. 26, 2024, 7:37 p.m. - We crashed a cute Mac Donald's date night and Christian and his girlfriend gave us a lift in their Jaguar to a better service station up the road. Unfortunately it is a bit off our desired path but we are hopeful and it is a very cushy maccies.
Feb. 26, 2024, 6:24 p.m. - for some reason our what 3 words thinks we are in Toronto?? There was a man with a camper van going to Denmark but andreas was adamant he could not take us bc he only has two seats. After serious contemplation about who deserves to go to Copenhagen, we decided to trek on together and have walked about 40 minutes to the service station up the road. The loveliest service station so far, the guys working here gave us cardboard and brought us over coffees to keep our spirits high!
Feb. 26, 2024, 5:03 p.m. - we have made it to DEUTSCHLAND!! We are in the middle of nowhere at a trucker stop. May have to walk 40 mins or so to a better spot

Feb. 26, 2024, 1:52 p.m. - Had an awesome ride with Hoob (really need to get the throat into it). He taught us some football chants and shared his love of chocolate sprinkles. We got to join a call with his colleague Johan which was good fun. He very kindly dropped us at a large service station on the A1. Sara's phone dropped in a puddle getting out so um yeah fingers crossed on that one

Feb. 26, 2024, 12:17 p.m. - Jeroem and his colleague were super kind and offered us a lift almost right away!! They are execs at the candy factory that make Percy pigs!! 🐷 They even gifted us some Dutch candy their company makes, very excited to try them :)) 🍭🍬🍭🍬

Feb. 26, 2024, 11:55 a.m. - figured out that Arnhem would have stranded us so had her drop us at the next station on her way. She was an icon, we met her girlfriend on FaceTime, zoomed down the motorway at 100 miles an hour in a sleek Mercedes, tunes blasting. She bought us red bulls and kinder bars to keep us going 🥺
